World Children's Day focuses on UN children's rights. Every year the main themes are implemented in a varied and creative way, always in line with the basic idea "by children and for children". Children receive full attention on this day.

Happy Birthdays for a year!
Our club turned one year old in February 2021. We celebrated our first birthday with a very special event:
We donated birthday cakes for a year to people who can't celebrate their birthday at home because they don't have a home at that time!
The campaign ended at the turn of the year.
Aid for Ukraine (as of March 30, 2022)
Many Ukrainian women and their children have found refuge with us in the Odenwald. Everyone has experienced terrible things and has left behind or already lost relatives and friends. Here in Germany, too, the situation is not easy and varies greatly from case to case.
Therefore, the donations with which we have already been able to help are very individual: food, drinks, clothing, shoes, kettle, cot, wardrobe, school supplies, strollers, bicycles and much more.
To provide this individual support, we maintain personal contact with the people who need help.

Quick help after bike theft! (October 12, 2021)
On October 11th The municipality of Münster (Darmstadt-Dieburg district) asked for bicycle donations on October 12th. we delivered!
What happened?
Refugees who rely on bicycles to get to work or school had all their bicycles stolen right in front of their accommodation. What is particularly frightening is the audacity of the thieves, which is described in the media: simply driving up in broad daylight with a car and trailer, breaking the locks and loading things in... When residents of the accommodation try to stop the thieves, they are threatened and almost run over.
What have we done?
When we read the call, we responded immediately and agreed. Thanks to the bicycle workshop town of Wald-Michelbach, we already have bicycles in stock for those in need. That same day we drive to the camp and load the bus. We already have the delivery date in Münster the next morning. The bikes are eagerly awaited.
Good luck for other refugees too
With the fundraising campaign, there are more bicycle offers than before, so not only those affected but also other refugees can look forward to a new bicycle.

Clothes bazaar in the women's shelter (as of June 3, 2021)
What woman wouldn't be happy if she could try out everything from hundreds of new, fashionable items of clothing and put together as many outfits as she wanted for free? This is exactly what the women of an Odenwald women's shelter were able to enjoy, where we made such a free clothing bazaar possible.

There was also a lot for the little ones who sought refuge in the women's shelter with their mother.

Contact Santa Claus (December 23, 2020)
In the middle of us and yet alone, ten people with various disabilities live in an assisted living group. They would like to lead a completely normal life, work, go shopping, do hobbies or meet other people.
A lot of things are not possible in lock down. But contacts and the chance for integration are needed in order to promote independence and enable people to lead their own lives.
A call was made to draw attention to their situation: Since personal contact is currently not possible, there is a contact basket in front of the door of the residential group (Am Pechofen 9, in 64395 Brensbach) and all residents would be happy to have a card with them there is a nice greeting in it.
We also followed the call for contact and have one for every resident on the 4th of Advent
Personal gift with Christmas card and warm greetings brought.
A few days later, as a surprise, we received the answer on a big screen.
